🐱 3. “If Cats Disappeared from the World” (Sekai kara Neko ga Kieta nara) (2016)

Based on the best-selling novel, this emotional film explores what happens when a dying man makes a deal with the devil: to erase something from the world in exchange for one more day of life. • A unique and magical storyline about identity and love.
  • Beautifully animated and emotionally resonant.
  • Perfect for fans of romantic fantasy.

My recommendation when to watch:

When you feel like running away from your problems (or humans) for a bit. Trust me, being a cat has its perks. Out of topic, the town you see in this film calls Tokoname – city of Aichi – prefecture. Where my mom’s grandparent lives! It is not a touristic place but this town has an international airport. Why you don’t drop off here and visit small pottery town with great sea foods. The big Manekineko will welcome you!
